Sarah Elizabeth NEWBERRY was born 27 Jan 1855 in Camden County, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Robert NEWBERRY of Wyeth County, Virginia and Rebecca MCGINNIS of Tennessee. Sarah died 22 Sep 1922 at Santo, Palo Pinto County, Texas. She is buried at East Side Cemetery at Santo. She died from "progressive paralysis". Her death certificate is number 37.

Sarah Elizabeth NEWBERRY married Columbus Randolph BRADFORD of Alabama (son of William Henry BRADFORD and Mary LAWSON) on 15 Oct 1872 at Palo Pinto County, Texas. The marriage license was recorded in 1872 in Palo Pinto County; a copy is on file at the office of the County Clerk, Jack County, Marriage License Book NS54893, page 363. They had the following children:

James Henry BRADFORD b. 15 Jul 1874, d. 19 Mar 1963. He married Minnie Dallas JOHNSON
Mary C. Rebecca BRADFORD b. 16 Nov 1876, d. 19 Feb 1909. She married John Thomas RANSPOT.
Salena Elizabeth BRADFORD b. 18 Apr 1878, d. 11 Dec 1913. She married William Lee HORTON.
Orestes Bragg BRADFORD b. 18 JUl 1883. d. 8 Feb 1960.

On 22 Feb 1882, Robert NEWBERRY (her father) conveyed 75 acres of land to Sarah Elizabeth NEWBERRY-BRADFORD for the sum of ten dollars, Deed Book 1, pg 466.
